What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are closed on the weekend and major holidays.
Do you provide transportation?
Yes! We offer convenient pick-up and drop-off services within the Alamo Region and San Antonio area.
What is the staff-to-participant ratio?
We maintain small groups with high staff-to-participant ratios to ensure personalized attention and support for each individual.
Are your staff qualified and trained?
Absolutely. All Maystar staff members are trained in IDD support, CPR and First Aid certified, and undergo thorough background checks. We provide ongoing professional development.
How do I enroll my loved one?
Simply fill out our enrollment inquiry form on this website, or call us at 210-501-2532. We'll schedule a tour and guide you through the enrollment process.
What should my loved one bring each day?
Participants should bring a bagged lunch, water bottle, and wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the day's activities. We'll share a detailed packing list upon enrollment.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Maystar is a licensed community-based day program (License #313066) serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Do you accept Medicaid or waiver services?
We accept private pay and are working with Medicaid waiver programs. Contact us to discuss payment options for your family.
Can we visit the program before enrolling?
Absolutely! We welcome tours and encourage families to see a day in action. Contact us to schedule a visit.
What ages do you serve?
We serve adults ages 18 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What types of activities do you offer?
A wide range including life skills training (cooking, money management), community outings (museums, parks, libraries), volunteer opportunities, recreational activities (art, music, fitness, board games at the park), and educational visits.
